“Kids vs. Machine”

Workshop

A lighthearted yet subversive approach to a potentially dystopic development: Facial recognition as a surveillance tool – what sounds very orwellian is already in use e.g. in Hong Kong and many other places. In this workshop open to kids (6 years and older, to be accompanied) and other playful souls you will try to deceive an AI specialised in identifying you.

The participants will experiment with make-up and with different fashion accessories to trick the machine’s algorithms.

Successful and funny attempts will be recorded through analogue means, making for a nice physical souvenir.
